Pyrgos

The Pyrgos Country House was built in 1855 by the family of current owner Iro Melachroinaki and was mainly used as a residence during the summer months mainly for the harvest of the famed Skopelitian plum, which has been extensively cultivated since 1858.
It is a two storey house. It is necessary to have transportation or rent one at the island.
There are 4 roads leading to the Skopelos, the villages Glossa and Elios and the beaches of the island. With full respect to the nature and the traditional architecture of the building, we have completely renovated it in 2019, with the expectation that our guests will enjoy their staying, while knowing the beauty of our place and of the island.
We hope you will experience the tradition and hospitality of the Skopelos, while enjoying the peculiarity of the Northern Sporades, where the pine trees embrace the sea.
Our house accommodates up to 6 people.
It has two separate bedrooms, one on the ground floor and one on the upper floor, with a double bed and two single beds and a loft above the kitchen, with a double mattress.
Next to the ground floor bedroom there is the kitchen - living room (fully equipped, without dishwasher), the TV and indoor bathroom (hair dryer, shampoo, soap, towels).
Upon your arrival you can read a brief text on the history of Skopelos from antiquity to the present, as well as have a look the rich photography, from the owner's personal collection, of the life of old Skopelos.
In addition there is a beautiful large outdoor area with private parking, plum trees, two dining areas, a barbecue and an outdoor bathroom with a washing machine.
Pyrgos Facilities
There are also two smoke detectors, two safety lights, screens in all windows and the kitchen door, and mosquito repellents.
The house is very cool and also has two air conditioners.
The ceilings are wooden, with obvious, traditional roofs.
The kitchen furniture is handmade and restored by the owner.
Our house has a balcony with a staircase that communicates with the upstairs bedroom.
The two bedrooms communicate with an internal staircase and a door on the floor to isolate each other.
